-1- Why get my sails from i-Sails® ?

We are a real business, not a seat of the pants operator:
- US Registration in Park city, Utah;
- French Commerce registry number RCS Lyon 49915457300012
- European VAT number FR41499154573.

We support our products, offer a warranty and a right of return (See our sales terms for more on this)

-2- How can you offer a sail of this quality at such a price ?

-1- Using the internet and computer sail design technology, we can hire the best independent sail designers anywhere in the world for each particular program. We can then can transmit the design files to state of the art , computer driven lofts in Asia and manufacture with he highest quality available.

-2- We only sell our sails over the internet, thus cutting out the many middle men...

-3- We are sailing buffs, with reduced costs and tight margins

-3- Why are your European prices higher than the US prices

There are 4 reasons to this:

-1- Our European prices include VAT (19%), our US prices do not
-2- Import duties into Europe are not the same as into the US
-3- Shipping from Asia to the US is cheaper than shipping to Europe
-4- Cost of doing business, stocking, providing warranties, etc, is higher in Europe and reflected in a slightly higher margin (by a few percentage points only though)

-4- I am in Europe - can I still order from the US site ?

Yes, we will gladly give you a shipping quote. However, please consider this before you do:

- Shipping cost will be significantly higher (in either case with wil ship with tracking number and insurance)

- Shipping delay will be longer - at least 5-6 business days

- Credit card and wire payments will incur a higher fee and a currency exchange commissions both imposed by your financial institution

- Depending on your country regulations, you may be charged import duties, VAT and possibly a brokerage fee by the broker / shipper handling the import

- In fairness to clients buying from a European site, warranty returns and service will be handled from our US facility.

All in all, we find our European customers are happier ordering from the European Sites - although we do handle the occasional European sale from the US.

-5- What is the difference between the"Performance Series","Training Series" and "Cruising Series" ranges?

The "Performance Series" offers no hold barred racing sails: starting with the best possible design, developed from numerous prototypes and aiming at top regatta rankings; the highest performance cloth allowed by the class, and finishes to match. Those are the sails you need if you race at high level...!

The "Training Series" range aims at approaching the same performance level as the "Performance series" range, while maximizing durability: the cloth are chosen to offer performance and and durability. Cuts are identical to those of the "performance Series" excepted when cloth differences require some adaptation. These sails are what you need if you sail and train intensely in all weather conditions, or for to set up a club fleet with high-performing and durable sails.

The "Cruising Series" range includes our cruising spinnakers. It offers the same design quality - designs by Sandy Goodall ! - with a cloth selection and sail construction choices suited to cruising applications.....
